"Folded Plane" residential house.
It is a residential country house, formed by the complex composition of its roof.
I created this project during my work in "Discipline Global Architecture" studio in 2004.
Later the same year I submitted the project to the "5 Facades of Private Architecture" competition, which was dedicated to the roof solutions, and won it in the "Project" nomination.
The competition was organised by roof covering manufacturer "Ruflex" with a support of and supervision by the "Union of Russian Architects" which provided a professional jury.
The picture you see is a main competition visualisation which shows the structure of the building.
Later the project was also nominated for "ARX AWARDS 2006" in the "Project of a Building or a Complex" and the "Experimental Architectural Project" nominations.
The project appeared in the "Архитектура жилых зданий" ("Residential buildings architecture") magazine and on its cover.
And also there were articles about it in the
"Проект Россия" ("Project Russia"),
"Архитектурный вестник" ("Architectural Bulletin"),
"Современный дом" ("Contemporary House"),
"100% Загородный дом" ("100% Country House"),
"Современный дом и офис" ("Modern dwelling and office")
magazines.
Who also worked on the building project:
Tatyana Ivanova - drawing, modelling.
