Museum.
The project consists of two phases.
The first phase is the project for a "Museum of Moscow Evolution" competition, made at a "Residential and Public Buildings" Department of Moscow Architectural Institute as a term project in 1999.
The second phase is modified version of the project, made in 2014 for the "Mexico Museum" competition.
This is a cribwork as a symbol of traditional Russian architecture. But it is not a classic cribwork, it is just a square beams laid upon each other in a particular composition. And this composition also forms the pyramid which resembles traditional Mexican pyramids.
Gaps between the beams are glassed and a vast tetrahedron-shaped space inside the structure is a main exhibition hall. Inside the U-shaped beams there are exhibition galleries.
Other necessary rooms are situated under the ground level and lit by a skylight.
